AWANA

A Request from Your Awana Team

As you may know, Awana encourages our children’s participation via a rewards program called the “Awana store”.  Every week, the Awana club members can receive “Awana dollars” for

  • their attendance,
  • wearing their uniforms,
  • bringing their handbooks and their Bibles,
  • attending Sunday School and church,
  • bringing a friend, and, most importantly,
  • memorizing and reciting scripture.

Then, every six weeks or so, they visit the “Awana store” and “buy” items with their “Awana dollars”.

To this point in time, almost all of the items in the Awana store have been purchased or donated by the Awana leaders themselves.  We would like to extend to you an opportunity to support monetarily this important aspect of the Awana program through your contributions to the North Run Awana fund.  We would appreciate any amount you might feel led to give.

Thanks,
Your Awana Leadership Team

What Has God Called Me to Be?

John 8:12-14

The Danger:

  • Only about 10-15 percent of youth raised in the church have a biblical worldview when they finish high school;
  • Heading out to life on their own, 69-94 percent of young adults will also walk away from the church

But in Christ there’s hope!

  • When parents and churches come together to intentionally teach God’s Word throughout childhood and adolescence, they can move kids toward spiritual maturity, resulting in life-defining, long-lasting impact.

The Goal:

  • A lifelong, fruitful relationship with Jesus.

Join Us …

  • for the Awana® Clubs at North Run Baptist Church starting on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 4:00 to 5:45 PM and continuing on Sunday afternoons through May, 2012.
