Spring Musical 2012 Revealed!

We are excited to begin preparation for a musical, “The Word Connection,” to present this spring with our first  through fifth grade choirs! “The Word Connection” is a game show hosted by Remi M. Burr which takes contestants through a series of rounds to test how well they know and understand the connection between our everyday lives and the Word of God.

The musical begins with everyone preparing to go “on air.” The choir is the live studio audience, and four contestants participate in the question/answer rounds. There are plenty of supporting roles and non-speaking parts, as well! This musical focuses on the Bible, God’s Word, being the Answer to our questions and the Light to our path, which is a great connection to our choir theme “Go Shine!” It’s packed full of Bible verses (37!!) and strong Biblical lessons. Round 1 demonstrates the character of God, Round 2 shows why we should thank God in both good and bad times, and Round 3 presents contestants with a call to action to choose to obey what God’s Word says.

The children’s choir ministry of North Run Baptist Church is a Wednesday Night wonder!  We exist to teach and model the worship and praise of God!  Preschoolers through fifth graders engage in a variety of activities-singing, playing instruments, musical games-in both small and large group settings. As kids grow in musical skill development, we also encourage them to begin and grow a relationship with Christ as Savior. Music helps teach and reinforce spiritual truths that will last throughout their lives!

We have open enrollment throughout the year. We meet on Wednesday evenings from
6:00 pm – 6:45 pm. Our ministry is blessed with wonderful directors and teachers who love God,
love children, and enjoy music! They work hard each week to provide a place where children can know God’s love and worth, and we invite you to join us!
