Prison Ministry

The North Run Baptist Church Prison Ministry was organized in the fall of 1969 with ten men of the church volunteering to serve in this ministry. Four teams were formed with at least two men on a team. This ministry has continued since that time. Each team visits the Virginia Department of Corrections, Unit #2 in Dawn, Virginia one time a month to lead a Bible study with the inmates. The church laymen faithfully give of their time to be a friend and mentor to any inmate searching for God’s truth and peace through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
